Ring Description
The Tapa (kapa) design engraved on this ring reflects the aesthetics of traditional Polynesia. Using repeating geometric patterns, Polynesians decorated tapa cloth made from tree bark. Tapa was primarily used for clothing before the advent of modern textiles, such as cotton. The fine lines etched within each shape of this piece emphasize the bold spear-tip pattern. The custom-colored enamel border stoutly frames this masterpiece.
