Ancient Hawai’ians made Fish Hooks (makau) from materials such as shell, bone or hardwood. Makau are said to represent strength and fortune, bring good luck, and identify wearers as good providers. Thom Sirivattha's handmade pieces retain the unmistakable makau shape under the luster of precious metals. This small hook features engraving on both sides.
